Practical Missing from Care training designed to help learners understand the risks associated with missing episodes, respond effectively when a child or young person goes missing and support safer outcomes following their return.
Training is tailored to the organisation's service and may include:
• Understanding missing and absent episodes
• Recognising vulnerability and associated risks
• Exploitation, grooming and contextual safeguarding
• Preventative approaches and individual risk assessment
• Responding when a child or young person goes missing
• Roles, responsibilities and escalation procedures
• Recording, reporting and information sharing
• Supporting safe return and learning from missing episodes
Suitable for children's residential services, supported accommodation, education settings and professionals responsible for supporting children and young people who may be at risk of going missing.
Individual delegate: £75 per person
Private group training:
