Paediatric First Aid (2 Day)

Practical Paediatric First Aid training designed to provide learners with the knowledge, confidence and practical skills required to respond effectively to emergencies involving infants and children.

Training includes:

• The role and responsibilities of a Paediatric First Aider
• Assessing an emergency situation safely
• Infant and child CPR
• Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Managing an unresponsive infant or child
• Choking
• Bleeding and shock
• Seizures and febrile convulsions
• Anaphylaxis and allergic reactions
• Asthma, diabetes and other childhood medical conditions
• Fractures, burns, head injuries and spinal injuries
• Recording and reporting incidents

Suitable for nursery staff, childminders, schools, early years practitioners, childcare professionals and anyone responsible for the care of infants and children.
