Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)

Practical Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) training designed to help learners understand behaviour, reduce restrictive approaches and develop person-centred strategies that promote safety, dignity and improved quality of life.

Training is tailored to the organisation's service and may include:

• Understanding behaviour as communication
• Identifying triggers, functions and unmet needs
• Functional approaches to understanding behaviour
• Proactive and preventative support strategies
• Supporting emotional regulation
• Positive risk management
• Reducing restrictive practices
• Developing consistent, person-centred support approaches

Suitable for adult social care providers, children's services, supported living, residential care, healthcare organisations and professionals supporting individuals who may present behaviours of concern.
